Aww ...Wow, I just poisoned myself with my own sap. Lol But, come on, you can totally see it, right? Right?

And yeah, I know, ripped off the song title from lack of creativity, but I really thought it fit the bit of dialogue running through my head for the piece

Anyway, I love this pairing almost as much as I love Syaoran and Sakura. The way their relationship transformed and blossomed just makes my heart sing, so I wanted to do some art of it! Plus I wanted to try my hand at drawing Shang *Cough* And wooden frames, I also wanted to try wooden frames..sort of. The plants behind them I just added on a spur of the moment thought. I tried to draw the lovely couple in complimenting colors. I love how blue looks on Mulan! I wanted to see Shang in green because I've never seen him wear any and I thought it would look nice His skin tone (like several other characters I've ranted about) was difficult to do. So were his lips, I didn't want them to look girly. Overall, I love how this turned out

Funny story, my friend saw Shang's hair and said, "Looks like he used Mulan's shampoo...it got shiny all of a sudden." and I thought, "Yes. He'll most likely look at his hair and sigh in frustration...Then Yao and Ling can snigger and point at him behind his back and Chien Po can try to make them behave." I knew that Shang would inevitably end up with shiny hair, but I tried to minimize the effect for the sake of his dignity.:wink:
